The Salah ad-Din Grant 2025

The Hamdi Foundation is launching its three-month clinical fellowship focusing on the cutting-edge field of plastic surgery. This fellowship is a unique opportunity to explore not only breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery but also many different aspects of plastic surgery (microsurgical reconstruction, body contouring, facial aesthetic surgery etc.)

All applications must be submitted by November 30, 2024.

 

Eligibility:
Candidates must have completed a recognized Plastic Surgery training program in one of the recognized training programs in Syria.
Candidates must have passed the national exam within the first 3 highest rankings.
Candidates should provide two recommendation letters showing their professional attitude during their training in their home institutions.

Required Documents:

  • CV including a personal photo
  • Letter of motivation
  • Diploma of the most recent degree (MD and Plastic surgery specialization)
  • Proof of Syrian board exam
  • 2 Recommendation letters

Fellowship Funds:
A total of 3.500 EUR, generously sponsored by Hamdi Foundation, will be allocated as follows:

  • 3 000 EUR for the fellow’s 3-months living expenses during the fellowship
  • 500 EUR for the travel expenses.

Now Accepting Applications:

  • Short listed candidates by December 8, 2024
  • Online interview of short-listed candidates: December between Dec. 9-16th, 2024
  • Notification of selection by the end of December 2024.
  • Fellowship start date: April 2025.

* Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub (c. 1137 – 4 March 1193), commonly known as Saladin, was the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. He was the first sultan of both Egypt and Syria. Under Saladin’s command, the Ayyubid army defeated the Crusaders at the decisive Battle of Hattin in 1187, capturing Jerusalem . After his death, he was buried in a mausoleum in the garden outside the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria
